Safety And Security
Since we are an all girls’ residential school, safety and security are our top priority. VIGS has both manual and digital security systems installed in the campus.
We have focused on strengthening school emergency plans through training school personnel, students, parents, first responders, and the schools’ other community partners, and also through coordination with local law enforcement agencies. We have taken all measures that provide a significant improvement in security.
We have introduced security systems like Lock-and-Key Systems, Electronic Access Control, Communications Equipment, Visitors’ Screening and Badging, 3D Surveillance Cameras, Weapons Detectors, Bus-mounted Systems, GPS systems and safety measures like Fire Alarms, Burglary Alarms, Annunciators, Wireless Alarms, Emergency Notification Systems etc.
Smart cards are used not just for access control, but also as debit cards in cafeterias, bookstores, copy shops or laundry rooms, for attendance, as library cards, and as storage devices.
